Just starting out and noting I need to get a helmet with a good sun peak. Any recommendations?

Don't want to get sunburt again. Seems you spend a fare bit of time looking up in this sport :)

I used to use a CAPIX POINTLESS for cable and wakeskating.

Don't know who sells them is Oz.

Or try a sandbox

They don't put large peaks on water/wake helmets because of bucketing. You could snap your neck. (Probably no different to some gopro helmet mounts,) Most turn them around when riding. Kayak helmets have big peaks, check shred ready brand. There's one that's super expensive carbon..... Can't remember name, and a cheaper plastic

Have a look at the Gath Jedi helmet.
The visor is not huge but it is hinged so that it moves when you stack.
With a bit of practice you won't be looking up nearly as much!

+1 for the Gath Jedi. I started with this one and it was good to move the visor up and down to suit the shade over my eyes. Would also look cool fully down for the next Harlem Shake.

I always thought peaked helmets look like you belong on a horse rather than a board. I use a Protec Ace Wake.

Get yourself a cheap nylon cap and wear it under the helmet. You get a long brim to shade your eyes and head but no hard peak that is going to cause bucketing.

Apart from shading your eyes a bit, a peaked cap doesn't really give that much sun protection. All of those burning rays are reflecting up from the water too. I slap on a ton of zinc cream. Have seen some dudes wearing full face coverings. I guess that's another way to do it too.

Sunscreen and a hat of some description. My doc says reflection of water does as much damage as direct sunlight. I know hats aren't cool but you'll look younger in 10 years.
