You know if anybody knew who I was I am sure I would be banished from the shores of Melville Waters. My issue is this - wind is blowing 20-25 knots all day yesterday, I leave work at 4.30pm speeding all the way home to get my kit, put on my wetsuit and drive down to Melville. I pump up my kite and get that bloody sensation that the wind is dropping. Tell myself it is just a lull, get it launched then that god awful realisation - its gone. This happens to me all the bloody time. How can the wind blow all day at 20-25knots and drop to 10 the moment I get there? Why does this keep happening me? What am I doing wrong? Are there any tips or tricks?
you have to sacrifice a goat to the wind gods.
not too many goats mind you. We sacrificed 700 goats one time and that gave us 50 knots.... a little bit too much.
They are some funny posts Plummet. Not bad. Perhaps you can make a trip over to Adelaide and work some of your magic. We have had like 1 windy weekend in the past 6 months. ![]()
However I think there is an error in your formula. If for example a goat is sacrificed that is not a virgin, virgin = zero and therefore does not increase wind speed. The formula should be:
Wind speed increase = virgin + goat squared x ...
Much better.
This is easy youve got to buy some new gear then hurt yourself so you cant kite , the wind blows constantly
