Stupidly traded my kite gear for more room for clothes in my pack (cause I'm away for 2 months). Got here and realized it'll cost me 350 bucks for a 3 hour session. So if anyone knows a kiter in Oahu who would trade just one session length of time with their beloved gear for me to take care of I'll do almost anything...almost. Hit me up if you can help me out- had to watch as 5m barrels smashed all the way up and down the north shore. I'm massively keen, I'd even ride a chicks board...

if you were that keen you would of packed 3 kites + accessories and spent $150
on clothes and thongs when you got there

yeah good luck with that. There is no avenue (on Oahu at least) that offers affordable kite rental. Cheapest option was to have a lesson and make them sit on the beach. All I can say is pay to have your gear shipped to you or possibly fork out for a new kite if you have the $$.

I spent 2 weeks getting hit by the steadiest 18 knot breeze 24/7 couldn't believe I didn't throw a kite in.

Would love to have packed it and bought clothes over here; it's a shame a kite pump doesn't keep you alive when you're trekking through Africa for 6 weeks otherwise gear would have been my first option. Yeh, might have to buy some, met some cool locals today who might hook me up- the scenes alot friendlier here
