On a low tide with a good afternoon sea breeze west of the jetty at torquay should be pretty good. I've kited east of the jetty in a se'er and it was pretty lame, lots of sharp **** underfoot. Plenty of space to setup on the sand flats if the tide is low enough.

Friday still looks good. Low will be about 4pm and is quite a low one. If it's a SE then just on the western side of the Urangan pier is the go, even at dead low there is a bit of water to kite and it will be dead flat due to the surrounding sand bars. Incoming tide works best but if there's some strength to the wind then anytime from lunch will be ok, the closer to low the flatter the water. If there's too much Southerly in it then it can be gusty at the pier, so head a couple of hundred metres past the pier near the storm water drains but on the pier side of the aquarium. The wind will be cleaner here but at low tide there will be no water. Should be kiteable from 11.30 -2.00.
Only a slight chance of wind on Saturday and Sunday looks a no go.
Though Andy will rave about Elliott, which is a great spot, when the winds are good the Bay is an excellent spot with few kiters. I was out for a few hours yesterday in 16-22 knt SE'lies in flat water with just one other kiter.
Also, tonnes of jellies around at the moment though they give little sting.

Thanks burkey,
Won't get there till late Friday, can only hope the wind holds in. Been talked into going down for the opening of the new indoor skate park but was hoping to get some wind while I was down that way rather than getting caught behind a video camera all weekend.
