"Dude, check out my new kite."
"Wow man, it's killer."
"Dude, I'm lovin' it."
"But what's changed from the old one, man?"
"The ripstop dude ...it's super improved."
"Yeah man, I can feel it. It's, errr ... crisper."
"Dude, it's hell crispy."
"Man, it's crispy-creme."
"Dude, it's the creme-de-creme of crisp."
"Man, I wonder how they do that."
"Do what, dude?"
"You know, how they make it more crisper, man."
"They coat it with crispy-paint, dude."
"Sure man, I knew that."
^^
I think slave has a valid point..
In many second-hand ads you read that "the canopy is still crisp", or when people buy a new kite, they praise it's crispiness.
Apparently uv light does have an effect on the porosity of the canopy, the question is just how much.
A wind tunnel experiment would be great, but maybe that wouldn't be beneficial for the kiting industry..
One fact is for sure though, some lines give the kite a much more direct feel!!
Btw waveslave, what happened to your BWS kite sizing thread?
hummmm
@ok - why do you bother to respond, if you don't have anything valid to say move on, cause a threads there doesn't mean it needs a response.
Gear review section??? maybe a new section is in order where tech stuff (not really a review as such) could be discussed?
Always wondered about the effect of UV on the canopy from a colours perspective particularly colours like black, anyone have any experience?
"Dude, I'm frothing over the new bar."
"Wow man, the bar is sick."
"Dude, the new grip is dope."
"Yeah man, it feels super squishy."
"Dude, it's hell squishy."
"What's it made of, man?"
"What dude?"
"The new grip man ...what is it?"
"It's rubber dude."
"Oh yeah. And the bling, I dig all that bling, man."
"Dude, do you reckon there's too much happening?"
"No way man, there's never too much bling."
"You're right dude ...but still I might change a few things."
"Don't touch it man, it's perfect."
"Dude, I'm frothing over the new grip."
