Hey all,

obviously it differs depending on strength, terrain etc. But how far inland can a seabreeze reach?

Cheers,
Tom

I was hang gliding some years back over the back of mt widgee and got hit with the seabreeze front about 80-100km inland. It was about 15-18kts at 3-5000ft.

What he said ^^

Totally depends on the day.

You'll soon find that sometimes they don't even reach land, and can hover frustratingly 1 - 2kms off shore.

On hot/humid days, they might only reach 1km inland. Watched the wind shift on guys out on the briney on those kinds of days and it can switch from seabreeze to offshore & catches guys out.

Only as far as my kite.
If your downwind of me you wont be able to kite at all and if your upwind of me you will be too overpowered to kite because I only kite in like 40 knots or more on my 14m crossbow because it has the pen ultimate windrange. Did I mention 1 kite quiver?
