Oh dear...

- using an iphone as a wind meter
- holding flying lines
- the kite was still dry
- standing on the bottom

I would love to see someone try a 5 knot relaunch trick out in the "real world"

"When you use a wind meter, people on the beach are secretly laughing at you" Shannon Best.
When using an Iphone as a wind meter people would laugh out loud.

I dont get it. Whats the point. Once you re launch do you just stand there and look at it cause you sure as hell wont be riding it.

Thats a great little 'How To' clip

Sometimes when crap happens the 15 knots suddenly dissapears, this is good for Noobs and experienced people who have never been in that situation before regardless of talking themselves up !!!!

Ive come across many experienced people who are technology blinded and dont know how to do the old front line pull or swim towards the kite trick either.

Why be a keyboard bandit - if you dont kite in light winds

Thanks for that,

If I ever decide to kite in 5 knots in flat 2 foot deep water I will do this.

Also does your wind meter make phone calls too?

So cool...

If you have to relaunch in 5 knots this maybe more useful;

Yeah like to see that in deep water when you can't put tension on the kite by standing up!

I cant believe all the negative comments! OK so no one is going to go kite in 5 knots(unless the wind dies on you) I don't care who you are, a good light wind re-launch technique will sooner or later be needed and its is something that we all need to know.

I use that technique a lot of the time, as relaunch is super quick. Also, i use it for self launching because it minimises dragging the kite along the beach.

...not in 5 knots though

Agreed, and the internet helps me with these techniques too.

Sometimes a wank is easier...At least yer hand doesn't say "hurry up" or "get off now!".

How can a topic about a light wind kite re-launch go to bikini girls to wanking? Some of the people on here are truly wacked!

Good topic very funny lol .I agree its good practice ,feed up of no wind around took my kite to the beach on more than one occasion in 5 to 6 knts did a little body dragging, landing ,relaunching and i even had a wind meter with me . It has really helped me when i drop my kite in the surf to relaunch it before the waves take it and rip it to peaces.
