Absolutely shredding in cold, bumpy, shorey cond..... His board looks great; but he could probably make an ironing board look ok. Is that a stock naish model?

Jeez, I thought you were talking about me until I open the thread.
Very smooth indeed.

Wish I knew how to get the board to stick to my feet like he can. Maybe its because he has talent and I dont.

Makes me just want to get out there but alas no wind again.

Yep, Ian's my fave kitesurfer to watch, his style is the best Ive seen. He's like an elastic band, all loose and dynamic and at the same time explosive.

Wonder what all the "unhooked" callers reckon of him? He seems to do alright hooked in dont you think

The board he's riding here is in the Naish 2011 shelf range.

I was thinking the same thing he almost looks like he is riding unhooked this is the best kitesurfing I've seen so nice to watch never boring as he mixes it up so effectively.

Also this 1 is awesome (fastforward to 4m 40s) don’t think anyone has more raw talent with a surfboard than Mitu... Both these guys make it look so easy and natural.

Really enjoyed that one. 4:40 onwards. Was he born with a board on his feet? (yeeouch) And the chick afterwards was also great to watch.

Awesome surfing by Ian! That guy rips.

I don't think Mitu is in the same league. The wake-skate tricks he was doing in the flat water were entertaining though.(Like Mark Shinn was doing in 2004.)

How amazing is the surf at Cape Verde? That wave is insane. Too bad Sal is on the other side of the world...

I like how you compare some "wake skate tricks" he was doing to tricks Mark Shinn was allegedly doing in 04... but... no one compares the 1 turn (maybe 2 if your lucky) played over and over, plus upwind (hooked in) airs that were done in both guys video's multiple times, to the thousands upon thousands of the same maneuvers I have seen hundreds of different kiteboarders do thousands of times over and over again (in movies and real life)... Seems logical.

p.s. Sorry I forgot we were talking about kitescooting. all is forgiven.

Okay, mabey not 2004. When did "Funk" come out? Mabey 05. Pretty sure Shinn was doing all those ollies/ fingerflips/ shove-it. Like I said - entertaining.

I recon Ian has awesome timing that gives him style that I definately do not see on hundereds of videos, or in real life, like you apparently do.

I do agree with you that kitesurfing videos would be better if they included more whole waves, rather than just one or two turns though. It gets boring.

i like " kitescootin' " as a name. Can we go with that.
Kite surfing always sounded like Gay-surfing to me, whereas kite scootin' sounds like extreme country dancing. i like it.

I was talking about the tricks, not what board he rode.
He was riding small "surfboards", the same as Mitu.
