I'm pretty sure the same 'tog has done a few others in this series. Last one i saw was a wakeboarding one and it was almost identical to the kiteboarding rig.
I'm not a fan of the technique or the results.
The images just aren't any where near as impressive as some of the shots coming from actual riders in real conditions. A dusk or after dark shoot with a decent strobist setup gets much more impressive images that are a genuine depiction of the sport.
It's pointless !
The thing is.. Sports or action photography is a skill, the photographer needs to put himself in the best position and angle alone and or work with the rider under difficult circumstances to get "that shot"
Where is the skill in hanging a bloke from a wire then having endless attempts at the shot with full control over the rider position, lighting angle etc.....
So I can't really see photographers being that impressed
And I can't possibly see how kiters could be impressed ....
May as well just use photoshop...
It's not ART it's a bloke on a wire having water thrown at him over and over while a photographer plays with the variables.

You have got to be fu&ken kidding me? even if this is meant to be just a bit of fun or not, it is still an indication of how lame this sport is getting, dont get me wrong, i really enjoy the sport, but there are so many self promoting- face book typing fu&k heads around these day its unbelievable!!!!
