Thumbs Up

Hi,
I'm heading to Airlie Beach in a couple of weeks. Can anyone tell me what's the kiting like there?
I saw an old post saying you can't kite there...is this true?
Is it because of Stingers, ****e wind or what?
Is there a wave?

Cheers, Tim

Yes there are stingers , so straight up its risky.

Airley is in a sheltered bay, it doesnt get much wind at the actual beach itself (not that you would want to kite it, its really rocky)
With that being said if you have access to a boat while you're up there you could get yourself out in the bay for a water launch or better yet head over to the other side of one of the islands.
Good Winds
