Was launching someone yesterday all was good.. thumbs up and kite on wingtip just about ready to go.
Out the corner of my eye mr euro appears on bandit, jumps and stacks hard at the waterline and drops kite onto lines of kite I'm launching.
Spoke to rider and told him in no uncertain terms what I thought of his showpony skills. He actually agreed which I was suprised about. Kudos to him for taking my comments constructively.
Moral of the story..
If your gonna jump do it out the back where you won't take out people trying land/launch. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally but stupidity in high winds is a recipe for disaster. Also if your a noob and you want to head out why don't you body drag with your board 50 meters offshore first? It's safer than trying to boardstart in waves and shallow water at the shoreline. A noob faceplant at the shoreline isn't pretty and won't win you points with the ladies.
whoop whoop WhooP ,handle pass handle pass flicky spinny ,strike a pose:
KaSplash, baaa haaaa nothing funnier

Totally agree RPM! "Look at me!"
Then some beginner (or other) thinks that's what you're supposed to do when you get 'good' (lol), stuffs up, injures someone, more access stress!
Fkn insecure muppets trying to make up for a lack of something else I guess..
Credit to you for having a word with him.
I don't think the issue is jumping on the shoreline - (i.e. checkout so many videos of pros - they often do big tricks near the shoreline), the issue is if you jump near shoreline with people/ beach goers on it... or other kiters trying to get in out...
if someone wants to jump near shoreline, that's their freedom of choice. If you are a kook and wanna risk injury, then jump near the shore line. Or if you are a confident rider and looking for that nice flat piece of water (which allows best pop) often only available near the shoreline, then that's also your choice and i got nothing against it. (as long as you don't get in the way and clog up the section all to your self)
If you get in the way of other kiters, or impact safety of beachgoers then that's unacceptable and definitelly annoying!!!!
Other thing i find annoying is riders who bag other styles of riding... (weather because they are too old and just jeleous for lacking physical ability or for some other reason) ... be it a freestyle, wakestyle, skate style, big boosts, loops or whatever, everyone has right to kite in their own style. Freedom of choice. Individuality.
