I'm nearly out of my tube of clear gel SPF30 and it's really the only stuff that seems impervious to salt water. In fact, it needs a good scrub in the shower to remove completely 
Try this if it's around Hamilton quad block same as yours you need to scrub it off.

my mate used some sunscreen called bushman or something and it melted his sunnys even said on the tube not to put on plastic so hardcore shizz

I'm just sold on the clear gel format of the Island Tribe stuff- no mess, no freaky "warpaint", look (not that it matters), and it sticks like shoite to a blanket

I used to use it until I was told it main ingredient was semen from some tribal folk in the amazon hence the name, they have sped up production after a helicopter drop into the jungle of fresh wank mags
If you are talking about "invisible zinc" type stuff I would beware. My mates dad who is a doctor just helped do a big study into the stuff (and similar products) and they found that the nano particles contained in these products can be very harmful to you... Just a heads up.

Well this dude only just finished the research, so I'm just telling you what he told me. To be honest I got no idea, I'm no Dr., but to much of anything that can absorb into your body due to it's nano size doesn't sound like a good thing.
He told me to stay clear of the stuff, so I'm going to go with his advice haha.

ABSTRACT
Based on the current weight of evidence of all available data, the risk for humans from the use of nano-structured titanium dioxide (TiO2) or zinc oxide (ZnO) currently used in cosmetic preparations or sunscreens is considered negligible. There is a large body of information that when viewed in its entirety is considered as sufficient to demonstrate that these nano-structured ultraviolet (UV) filters, irrespective of various treatments (coatings) or crystalline structure, can be regarded as safe for use at concentrations up to 25% in cosmetic products to protect the skin from harmful effects of solar UV radiation. "Nano" TiO2 and ZnO formulated in topically applied sunscreen products exist as aggregates of primary particles ranging from 30-150 nm in size. These aggregates are bonded such that the force of sunscreen product application onto the skin would have no impact on their structure or result in the release of primary particles. Multiple studies have shown that under exaggerated test conditions neither nano-structured TiO2 nor ZnO penetrates beyond the stratum corneum of skin. Further, the distribution and persistence of these nano-structured metal oxides is the same compared to larger pigment-grade (i.e., > 100 nm) particles, demonstrating equivalence in the recognition and elimination of such material from the body. Finally, the in vitro genotoxic and photogenotoxic profiles of these nano-structured metal oxides are of no consequence to human health. Whereas the most logical, straightforward conclusion based on data from internationally-recognized guideline studies and current 20+ year history of human use is that nano-structured TiO2 and ZnO are safe, there will continue to be questions as "nano" conjures images of technology gone awry. Despite this rather sober view, the public health benefits of sunscreens containing nano TiO2 and/or ZnO outweigh human safety concerns for these UV filters.
I'm still goin for the Island stuff.. even if only for the mental image of shoit sticking to a blanket.

I guess there is always going to be people on either side of things like this, as is the case with most clinical research.
I'm not sure who or what my mates dad was associated with, but he is a skin doctor that specialises in the treatment and prevention of melanoma. He told me you might as well just use the regular type zinc and sunscreen to be on the safe side, as we still haven't been using nano technology long enough to see the long term effects on humans, but he was positive it wasn't good for you.
Who knows what the case really is but it's not like it's hard to find or use alternatives... Better than regretting it later down the track.
