You will probably think, so what? But the interesting thing is that it is narrated by Sir Richard Branson, and as they are good friends, I wonder if he has tried to talk her into having a go at kitesurfing?

Poor girl copped some sh!t at the end of the 7pm project to... old mate goes "now if you want to watch a girl crying for 1hr turn over to...etc".
Pretty crazy thing to do, I give her credit. I didn't watch her show, I did read the Jessie Martin book though and I think one trip "around the world" is enough for me.

Im a tight wad who hasnt invested in a digital tv yet so I dont get 10 One. I would have watched it though.

Despite all the BS hype it still blows my doors off to think she sailed for months on end, by herself in the middle of the ocean and made it home in one peace. Props to her I reckon. Most girls her age are barely allowed to go to the movies by themselves.

Did anyone see it?

good on her especially watching the part where she sailed across the bite with a storm front stretching from the antartic to australia 50+knt winds 10m + swells and dragging a shute to slow the boat down hats off to her she has more courage than most.

As someone who has logged more than 10,000 nautical miles in Open Ocean and sailed in 70knot winds and 13m seas, I can attest to the enormous courage and self control she displayed. When I was in rough conditions, I at least had the comfort of other experienced crew members to talk to and share the experience. If I was on my own in her situation thousands of miles from land in the middle of a huge storm, I'd probably cry a bit too!

Most 16 YO girls aren't mature enough to have a decent conversation with let alone set off on a solo around the world mission, unassisted, on a yacht with a cabin space not much bigger than the average hiking tent.

Any person who can handle such a voyage and the inevitable foul weather that comes with ocean yachting, and makes it back in one piece, deserves all the fame, recognition and respect they are entitled to.

Huge props to Jessica. If my girls grow to be half as mature and self confident, I'll be a happy dad.
