Just after a bit of input.
We have built the ramp and have all the poly pipe so the next stage is attaching the poly. We are using 2.5' pipe and figured drilling holes from the top would have a bit of a cheese greater effect so we came up with running a rod through all the pipe and then tying the rod down to the battens. This way we can also carry the pipe and the base separate and it will be easy to put the poly onto a different base if this one ends up too steep or something.
Any one tried this method
Just want to hit it now but still a long way to go
I've been to a wake park and they seem to just use a plastic or teflon sheet. I wonder if it would work on a kiteboard kicker?
^^^ of course it would work haha.
You can just screw decking down to your kicker if you want for the sliding surface. Sounds like your idea would work as well.
orr you can drill the screws in on angle into the top (drill a hole offset and then screw down. i have done this with a few different builds and it works good.
Cheers for the input guy's
I will post a photo but just got back from the beach
and can't be bothered tonight
The drilling from the side sounds like an answer but we might give the rod a go and see how we go. looking at it it looks pretty steep.
Its 1.2m high and 3m long with a fair old kick in it so I guess we will get it in the water and see what happens. Whatever happens its a start anyway.
Could be a few bruises after our first run I reckon.
