In the PKRA ...

"In the men's wave division, Australian rider Keahi De Aboitiz (Cabrinha, AUS) was a show stealer executing strapless maneuvers such as aerials, 360-degree rotations as well as impressive cutbacks on the edge of the critical section of nearly every wave earning him the PKRA Lanzarote wave single elimination title by defeating Fabio Nunes (Gastra, BRA) in an extremely close men's final. "close final" my arse. Keahi would have smashed any guy named Fabio.

Although I reckon Fabio would have had a better hair cut than Keahi, but Im not sure the PKRA has a division for hair cuts.

Definitely wouldn't have been a close final.

Yea he has convincingly won both the first two wave events of this years tour. Not only performing the most technical moves, but doing them on the most critical part of the wave.

I notice he's riding a 5'6" Cabrinha Skillet, anyone else tried them, opinions ? Anyone know their volume, and bottom contour ? I don't understand why vendors don't provide this information.

Because 99% of kiters wouldn't have a clue about board design and how it affects their surfing.
Demo is the only way to know.
Surf shops don't provide that info on their surfboards either.
It must be an ex-poley thing

Thanks for all the support guys. I've been having a great time doing the tour and its cool kiting at all the different locations overseas. Here are a few more shots from the events.

With skills like that no wonder he's killing it. I thought only Euros rode waves strapped.... good on Keahi.
