Seen one of those kites the other day, they are more gay looking than those sigma/helix whatever kites.

There are some **** looking kites flying around IMHO
Maybe it's an attempt to build-in some kind of pointy nose on the leading edge. ^^^
Boats, planes, and rockets all have pointy ends to make them more efficient.
Obviously at the end of the production run they had one 14m center strut left, and a 10m kite! I know this to be true because I saw the other bastard child kite that had a 10m center strut on a 14m kite attached to your chicken loop at Pt Henry today Fattso.
