Whos interested in an event in Melbourne over easter??? Floating format so we get the best of the wind. Any ideas let us know before we approach kbv and aksa

not sure why the red thumbs? would be stocked to go anywhere for next years nationals, was alot of effort put into this years one and it was a shame the wind didnt turn up. Not sure what you mean by floating format though? And i wouldnt combine the waves, as i believe the waves normally has its own event and you would have to move around the event unless you hold it in the waves.
The Onboard Robe Easter Classic will be on at Robe, SA. Been running for over 30 years so it won't change. Last year when the Nats were held over easter I think only 2 from SA went up.
I know that SAKSA hold the best State Titles in Australia but I know they would require plenty of notice to set something up.
The Robe Wave Nats were amazing and held in November. SA - The State of Kitesurfing!!!
from what i remember autumn is the least reliable time of year for wind in melbourne. would a summer or late spring event be better?
Our experience at this years nationals was that Kite Racing is a very different styled event and would be best run separately, preferrably together with a local sailing club.
Would love the events to be in Melbourne.
yes sounds like easters out. we could tie in with sandringham for the course racers events.And move between stkilda and rosebud for the others.
Theres a lot of interest in running a freestyle comp over the sail melbourne weekend to coincide with the kite racing

Any interest maybe we can re run the nationals.
i would prefer the nationals to be held in a place that is more easily accessable and could attract more spectators to help increase sponsorship for the riders.
it would be nice to have it held at a different spot each year as well so riders get to travel to different spots and meet different people :)
only problem with running a comp with sail melbourne is that we wouldn't be allowed to move the comp site anywhere other than that one beach
I think just about anyone that was at the nationals will also be at the sail Melbourne event so cant really have a Nationals race event at the same time.
It might be a big ask for most to travel to another kite nationals (race) in the month or so prior to the first week in December?
Man I cant wait for December to roll around given the point of having race gear is to actually have a race and we will all be done to death talking about it and we will all just wanna race
With sail Melbourne open to anybody who rocks up I reckon the fleet could be double what was at the Nationals with ozi's that have bought race gear over winter, plus international riders that may decide to come down here for what will be the first official ISAF world cup that will have kite racing we may see some big names, its gunna be interesting the next time we all meet 
sail melb will be a race board event
