Dude I was running back and forth all day every day landing and launching, unwinding lines and winding lines, inflating and deflating. I was over it today and tried to get a kite in and it lasted 10 mins because there were more people wanting to demo.

We snuck off this arvo for a wave session at Coronation beach Geraldton until dark and now Im wooped.

1st time to kitestock, best time in WA. What a great event. 300 kiters on 1 beach! - I thought it would be not much fun kiitng with so many kiters but everyone was pretty aware of eachother and it wasnt a hasstle at all.
It was well organised and super relaxed. Thanks to all the volunteers and thanks to Huey.

I have not had that much fun in ages.........only one thing I wish is they had a DJ for band intermission. I enjoyed the music in the morning more than at the pub.....

But kitestock is the best

I would have to say that in the five yrs, I've been to four of them and it was the best one ever.
Cheers WAKSA and KS CREW for making it a great event and as for me being a drink sponsor all the more easier with people checking that everything was good at the Angostura Bar with the girls mixin LLB.
Fantastic event and thanks again.

With 2 kites up at 7:35 Friday morning it just had to be a great year. And it was.
NB : the Paul Burton Memorial Photo Comp.
There has been a slight and temporary glitch getting the promised competition photo gallery up on the kitestock site. Be patient and get your pics prepared for an upload anytime soon. Our new professional web consultants are onto it.
Stories will be up soon explaining the whole deal to non-attendees and the gallery will be online asap.

I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else that weekend.

Went up with 3 kites and 4 boards, came home with 3 kites and 5 boards.

The wife wasn't pleased to see me.

Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers that make this event possible.

Hi Kitestockers,

How good was the wind? Pretty much perfect for demoing all weekend. Nice to see so many old friends. AKS was happy to give away all three of our kites (Core Riot XR 9m, Ozone Catalyst 10m and Ozone C4, 9m) to deserving winners and we hope that they all enjoy the kites.

I'd just like to say a big thanks to WAKSA, the volunteers, and a very big thanks to the Pinna crew (y'all know who you are, you guys and girls are da best! ) who came along and helped whenever they could. Thanks also to my staff members, particularly Lorna and Zac who were always there to help. To Tim Kemmerfeldt who helped with Core kites the whole weekend and was tireless and never complained. He also went off on the water

Lastly, a big shout out to Core Kites, Ozone Kites, Matt Taggart and Steve McCormack of Ozone Australia for their excellent support and donating two of the three kites.

AKS will be back as a major sponsor again next year and hope to be able to give away more kites and cool stuff to keep the amp going!

Cheers all and see you next year

KH

+1 for great event. (My third)
Great atmosphere. Great relaxed vibe
Food was sensational (improved from last year!)
Down winder was great fun (old and young)
Priori was awesome...

Only suggestion for future change (or reduction?) is that the volume of the evening bands could only be withstood if you had sufficient layers of beer... for those of us who took longer to build resistance, it was too loud to get up to the dance floor.

I had my inlaws from Bulgaria, and they loved it all. Never seen something like this.

Great event all (and the faithful!) Thanks WAKSA

A few rushed pictures from a few of the days. Mostly Mike having a ball behind the harbour wall (bad sunlight, but you can see the swell was sweeeeeet!:

Yep. Well done WAKSA. Gets better every year. An achievement to be damn proud of.

300 absolutely stoked kiters all thanks to a small volunteer-run organisation.

PS. Thanks laurie for the constant green arrows and nice swell in the arvos.

Wow some great shots, I apologise for getting in the frame and ruining a few.

Need to get our own camera person for next year. We actually mentioned that would be an awesome spot to get some shots from, would have to be early in the day to avoid the sun glare though. Looks like you had a very good camera so probably get around it.

Yep That was a fun little session alright could only get away for 40 mins, but got another hour in later and 2 hours Saturday. I'm sure I hit a lip at some point, even if there is no evidence .

Mike certainly got his share of waves over the weekend...was that you riding strapless in the blue rashy Photo's 43 and 44 are great shots of you if it was.

Cheers
