Hey All!

Right, I need an unbiased opinion from as many members as possible. Where is the windiest, most consistent, and best place to go kiting in Australia this time of the year? I would prefer to just wear a steamer, the warmer the better really!

I am coming over to Aus for a working holiday with the main aim of getting some serious session in!

Thanks for your comments

Chris

Kalgoorlie..............heaps of great flat water spots, and when you get bored there is a consistent 3-5 meter swell with perfect left and right handers. You don't even need a car as public transport will get you everywhere.

Unfortunately you have chosen our winter to come here. The season is over in most of Oz The only place you will find warm weather and wind is Far north Queensland. You will get some wind in the other states but reasonably inconsistent storm fronts. You will get away with a 3/2 steamer in most states in FNQ all you will need is a baggies and a rash vest

Thanks for the reply, where about in Far North Queensland would be a good place to base myself?

We have already started getting inconsistent fronts coming through, been over 2 weeks since I was on the water and with day light savings as well its almost impossible to get out after work.

Cheers again

Chris

Lizard Island would be pretty ideal.

if that does not work then Cairns would be a decent base...
