Hey there, I used to go down to Tofo for weekends when I was working in the south of Malawi. Awesome place, Amazing surf right along that stretch. I cant remember any kiting but it was 2006 so the memory has faded a little. The diving there is some of the best in the world! Whale sharks and Manta rays everyday!!!

Kited a lot in Vilanculos. Awesome clear flat water. Sandbanks everywhere. The SE should be blowing along the Mozam coast 15-25 Knots. Fishing, Diving very good!! Surf is better in Southern Mozam. Wind will be better the more North you go ( Zanzibar and Kenya rock in these winter months).

Dr Funk I used to live in Malawi. Kited on the Lake last time I was back. Wind must have been 25 knots. The locals could not believe that I was flying a kite. Keen to do the 365km downwinder from the bottom of the lake next time I am back!!

Enjoy

Cheers

Andy
