I love the way that the guy who just got landed on and clobbered runs away from the guy who just clobbered him.Later when the guy is getting patched up i hear someone say "there was a freak gust '. Yerrr right more like showing off for the camera and doing posuer moves for it rather than looking out for other riders (of which there seems to be many)

Didn't look like Adam, but I thought it was funny that Dan was the one who ended up getting bandaged haha.

This is old, the last state titles in WA- was a proper 35-40 knots that day and this was after the comp got canceled due to high wind.
The collision is Dan and Smithy (used to work at choice, a pommy guy if I remember), both riders are definitely competent riders, just a case of not making enough room in such windy conditions, I don't think Dan even saw him to the last moment so just a simple mistake of missing someone coming in downwind of you.... Smithy didn't see it coming either so neither rider tried to avoid....
More like a simple case of Idiot jumping onto someone

Man I would be really pissed if someone just about took my head off,because they just plain an simple did not look befor they went for there trick, Ok I know you can get a bit reckless with your mates sometimes but still ?? Injuries caused by others are the worst an have the most impact on councils opinions on safety regs etc etc bla bla bla .I'm sure some lessons have been learnt here...but this is how you do it to get your spot shut down for obvious reasons 
I know Dan, and those who also know him, know that he is one of the greatest guys around. If you've followed any topics about woodies, you'll usually find that it's Dan who makes the effort to save others boards & kites, and is always the *first* to help out any kiter, any time.
Dan would have been devastated to have run into anybody, as you can tell by the way he immediatelly ran to help Adam.
yeh i doubt you guys even knew how to jump back in those days haha i'd like to see everyone kiting now go out on a 7m 06c kite in a legit 30+ and see how they go...
so he's english , that explains everything... dan was just clearing out one more euro out of woodies i commend his efforts.
For a minute there I thought the fiery Dan was chasing him for a bit of bifo then it even looked like the other guy was running away from him. Then again they could of been trying to do a piggy back
