Hi there, can anyone advise where is the best spot to kitesurf near Corlette & Lake Cathie in NSW over December. I will be staying in both these places but dont want to have to drive too far. Has anyone kited near Lake Cathie, now that the estuary is open, has anyone kited in it, heading out to the beach?

You can't kite in the lake from the mouth, from my experience. There is a low bridge just in from the mouth as well preventing access to the estuary. Nearby the lake is too narrow as well. The beach nearby is ok though.

Haha if someone wants to give it a go by all means I will be there to watch it. In a 30knot due east wind I reckon it'd be totally doable
