I heard it was only a 12 month trial? I also heard nothing about earth moving equipment I think that part might be a lie.
bummer .It is sad that with all the work that Waksa has done to keep sites open that this one has gone .Hopefully it won't be the start of more closures

I heard wind was being banned from the area too, so no real loss, especially given the date.....
BAHAHA troll much, they wont move that sand bar......They cant. Its called turn island and it is a nature reserve. its not their land to play with! Yes it used to be an island for those who have only been around the area recently!

I remember when it was just a shallow sand bank then someone put a tree on it(around 1980) and the bank just kept building so really it's man made anyway.
