Looking for some quick feedback. Having kited around Perth hot spots on a number of holidays and having only been as far north as Lancelin we thought we would venture further this and have booked a flight to WA mid feb with intention of a kiting road trip Perth to Exmouth.
No I feel like a dumbass as have just been told that is the middle of cyclone season and it never even occured to me to look into anything like that. (slaps head) And being a former UK resident I have no experience of cyclones and what to expect.
So what I need to know is, is kiting at this time a year a possibility or a liabilty?
If its possible is a campervan reasonable accomodation?
And the real stinger - I have a 6 month old baby so I can't wing it.
I don't need flaming here, just some straight reliable feedback please. I don't want to put my little family at risk.
You'd, be unlucky not to score some wind between Perth and exmouth, the are plenty of great spots to check out, id propose you make the trip the Kiting holiday instead of the destination, I hit exmouth a few months ago with constant solid winds, its a bit of a hike from town, but if you get it good it has a few epic spots for waves and flat water, have a good one
PM TurtleHunter regarding Exe @ that time of year.
Mid feb is Kitestock so you could hit Dongara for 3 days on the way up.
Gero/Corros/Horrocks/Pt.Gregory/Gnaraloo could all be worth checking out.
