Going up to Lancelin this weekend...and it looks like if there is any wind, it is going to be on Sunday and from the North. I've never been there, and am not familiar with the area. Anyone ever been in Lancelin with a northerly? Is there an onshore beach?

I can't believe the one weekend I picked (and already paid for) might be the only 2 windless days of the summer in Lancelin, where it's windy all the time.

Dead Northerly or anywhere West you should be able to get out if it's strong enough. Maybe even East of North if you go to the northern point at Lanno?

Speaking of which, anyone ridden Lanno in NWerly Winter storm?

Northerly isn't a great direction as its pretty much offshore, unless you tuck in close to shore in the bay or near the leadlights, but you will probaby be in a wind shadow in that close. If the wind has a bit of west in it you will find somewhere to play
