hey guys im having trouble putting my leading edge blader back in after a repair, is there a trick to it ? i cant find any threads or vids on how to actualy put it back in ? any help would be great :)
its easier to get it back in with string tied to one end and feed it through. Also talcom powder helps it slide into place easier. Only half inflate it the first time, then massage it to remove any creases, kinks or twists.
it's important that you get the bladder all the way to the end. Not near the end, all the way. with some you have to sort of put the end thru a loop that you don't even know is in there and then fold it back towards the middle of the kite again to hold it in place. You need to stick your finger in and have a good feel around to see if the loop thingy is in there. and even if the loop thingy is there, it's not that easy to get it in. It could be in all kites, but I know it's in the Ozones.
Level of difficulty depends upon the kite. A really good video can be found on the Epic Kites web site (under fix a LE Bladder):

From your post it sounds like you have taken the bladder out without attaching a line to each end? If you have then you are going to have to feed a line through the LE which is a pain but grab yourself a lead weight and tie some line to it - gravity does the rest.
Good luck.
Tape the bladder tip to a ruler and just feed it through the leading edge (Push with the trailing hand bunching the material up then grip with your other hand reapeat until you reach the L/E tip) it keeps it flat and reduces the potential for twists I use this method always with very little twisting. String tends to allow the bladder to twist more.

Take note how he uses a bit of cardboard to keep the bladder flat as its being pulled back thru... to prevent accidental twisting... ![]()
