That angle brings home the seriousness of what he is doing. Long before he whips the kite back for that jump he is already locked in to the boost, and his only other option is eating pier... 
Not sure about that Galah, looks like he could have looped it the other way and done a massive transition, the wind direction and the wave size is what made it possible, plus Lewis's huge thingo's
