had a go at nth Narrabeen early... wind all over the shop. Set up when it was a gusty 20-25knt-ish, then hit by gusting high 20s-30knts plus.... change down kite size, set up and good to go, it drops to 15-20knts. Had same yesterday arvo, also only a couple of metres of beach to launch and land

North Narrabeen must have been pretty shore dumpy!

Deewhy was tough; too onshore. Gave it a good go but landed on the fins of my flipped over board near the end of a 3 hour session. Cut my thigh. Nice dead leg too. Good thing my fins are blunt as can be.

yup, solid shore dumps and some nice jacked up faces out back. Much better session this arvo, fun all the way out and back in

seriously DR, you have some scene stealer events... this time i got slacked line off a biggie out back in a bit of a wind lull, teabag express takes hold, then somehow my kite frees itself, relaunches, rips me out of the washing machine and i body drag bolt for shore ahead of the surge..... but not nearly as dramatic as fin chops and dead legs... still, i aint gonna swap for your recent run of luck

Yeah I've had a few incidences this season but the way i see it I've been lucky...

First season on a surfboard, and strapless. Been out in every condition: little waves, pounding waves, clean waves at Gnaraloo, etc. I'm bound to take a few knocks, as are my kites. Love it though, such a buzz!

any one you can limp away from is a good one...

just back in from an early- if anyone ever asks can you fly with seaweed wrapped around all four lines half way up to your kite, the answer is no farkn way!
