It's a tragedy losing your board - hasn't happened to me yet, but come close a few times. :-)
Just got emailed a story about a guy who lost his board, somebody found it .. there was a name & number on the board .. but .. turned out to be the name & number of the previous owner.
Great part is that the previous owner still had the contact details of the fella he sold it too .. board re-united with new owner.
Gotta be happy with that. 
The saga continues. One of the other boards he sold was just found over at La Perouse, and he was again contacted. If you lost your board recently contact the guy you purchased it from for details.
