After 3 years "The L?deritz Speed Challenge" has earned its credibility and made its mark in the World of Speed Sailing.
In October 2010, for the first time, all 3 disciplines that are the driving force behind this crazy battle to push the limits further year after year, namely THE HYDROPTERE BOAT, WINDSURFING and KITESURFING will race TOGETHER during the same event to set new World Records.
This year promises to be the most competitive and exciting event in the history of Speed Sailing.

I find it great that the HYDROPTERE BOAT has estimated build cost at around $250,000. plus crew cost +$,+$,+$.
Where as you could probably kit yourself with a capable kite & board setup for less than $10,000.
