Great to see some moves layed down at full power... Instead of the normal - lame just enough power !
Would be nice to see more of the kite during the trick too ![]()
Man that video was rad!
Good variety of tricks at different kite angles.. powered wakeboarding stuff, fast, slightly higher and spinnier moves, and some trickz without using either board pop or lift from the kite. Some athleticism right there.
Did you get banned, or why the new account? ![]()
For everyone worried about other kite brands/dealers: If kiters were price conscious, then 1) the second hand market would be better, and 2) smaller, cheaper brands would already be more popular.
Which means that Switch probably won't be a thread for big brands, but unfortunately for the smaller ones, since they target a more similar customer base.
why does everyone have to be knockers, its good to see ppl making movies. If your not a fan bite your lip and make a better one, or think of a way to put your product out there. thumbs up
That's an awesome video, powered up and water looks like a freestylers dream.
Thumbs up up from me.
Funny, I really don't care about all this buy this brand, buy there rubbish. I can't believe you punters get all passionate about it....?
Makes me laugh.
that was cool, really liked the mix of wake style freestyle and free ride stuff.
the just loved the power of the pure wake style stuff. Here i am working on my wake boat this morning too..... feeling inspired now. doesn't matter wind or not throwing grabbed big flat 3's is always fun! (if only i could do them kiting)
i made a new account because i lost my password hahaha to many to remember i guess thanks for all the comments guys ![]()
What was that double thing he does at 55 seconds and 1:27? Tantrum or something? That was memorable.
The rest, apart from the loops, was a particularly well powered and intense display of boring technical crap.
The flat water was the most exciting bit for me. ![]()
Cool Vid. True lol bank of new zealand sold to australians and now with 10 times more profit out of aussie to nz.
"Simply purchase the kite direct with significant savings then simply 'donate' a portion of what you have saved to the local kite store." lol
Retail shopping is doomed, especially in Aussie with $1000 tax free importing. 5 seconds of mining probably makes more cash than than an entire year of global kite industry profit.
This whole saga of should we or shouldnt we buy online product is getting out of hand.
I am curious to know if the people who are anti-online as far as Kites are concerned, ever encounter a situation where they work for an employer who sells a mainstream brand, but are faced in their workplace/market, with a cheaper "housebrand" alternative. (The mainstream brand providing them with an income as an employee)
Do these people support all "brands" or "Branded Product" even thouigh they are paying much more for them or do they, as many of us do, buy cheaper, imported generic products when it suits them, to save a buck? This can apply to groceries, beer, car parts..Just about anything you can buy!!
I am not saying that Switch or BWS are "housebrands" but they do tend to remind me a little of that type of product...Limited/No Marketing Budget online only.
The concept of Australian Owned/Australian made is also a very confusing topic. My emplyer manufactures nothing in Australia yet employs over 300 Australians to market and distribute our product.......Are you supporting Australians by purchasing my product even though its fully imported?..I would think so?
I say each to their own..Kiting is damn expensive whatever way you look at it so if someone wants to save a $$$..let em...
BTW...The Switch in the Video seems to go alright to me...
.
Damn that was some hot riding but!! Great work Marc, thanks for posting, inspiring stuff for sure.Kite looks like it works well regardless of where its from. Keep it up
Whenever Marc shows up we usually park up and watch. Lots of guys can throw mobes these days but very few as powered up and kite low as Marc does.
The Combat is a pretty good no-nonsense C kite. High performance but still easy to use in terms of depower and relaunch. It needs a better rider than me to get the best out of them though, it likes to be flown aggressively.
Well when the shops close up and you have to wait a week for spares and the only demos you can get are from other riders at your local beach, you know who to lay the blame on. Who do you think will cook the sausages aswell? Just random strangers? volunteers?
