Hey guy's Im heading up to Mackay mid September for a week or 2 for my sisters wedding and I am taking my kiting gear with me. Just wanting to know where the good spots are for a beginner kiter.

Mackay is a wicked spot for kiting, heaps of good locations for beginners, get in touch with ARSA, they will look after you!

Town Beach is probably the most used beach here, great at around mid to high tide and is shallow for about 200mtrs out.
That time of year we could get our Northerly's, so the northern beaches such as Blacks beach and Bucasia are the best.
Check in at the shop when you want to go out and we will let you know where the best spot will be.
