The scarborough beach inspector addressing beach goers via PA on the roof of his 4WD,
"sorry guys, have to keep the beach closed due to the shark sighting... That doesn't apply to you guys on the kites".

Four or five of us on the water enjoying a 18 - 22 knot afternoon seabreeze with no swimmers, surfers in the water?

Big green thumb to the beach inspector. I didn't see any shark either.

It is amazing what you can achieve when you buy a Kmart megaphone and steal one of those little red and yellow life saving hats.

The Scarlet Kite Lifesaver will make another appearance next year.
