For starters you are not going to get much information on the new Vegas as they are only hitting the stores right now.
Having ridden both the previous 09 Torch and Vegas all I can say is that both kites are excellent.
I would not drop any green on a kite I have not tried at least once. The best way for you to work things out it to contact your dealer and DEMO both kites.
Having said that I recently bought a 10M 2008 Torch second hand. This kite has changed everything for me.

I have a Vegas just sitting here waiting for a test ride but alas, the wind is against us for now and we'll be waiting til later in the week when it calms down a bit to write up a review.
Last years Vegas was excellent, a really good kite. In fact we are selling our 10m 09 Demo Vegas. As sci said, drop into your local friendly North Dealer and arrange for a demo ride.

As a old naish rider ive become sick to death with the octopus inflation system!!
i can see how it could of been a great idea but here in the tropics the weather and valves and octopus system dont mix so if you plan to take it where its humid and hot be prepared for painstacking repairs to valves. OHH and have a missus with small hands so she can get into the struts so you can connect and reconnect the connections to put plumbers tape on the male connectors.
other than that ive had great times on the naish torchs.
we will test some of 2010 kites/boards and take photos in our week in the south pacific reef trip next week. Wewill give some revies and photos then.

ruff - I for one would definitely appreciate a comparitive review between Torch, Vegas, Nomad, Nemesis and Vapor. Would love to demo all of these but I'm generally only a weekend warrior so not enough time :o(
