I have just converted by 2009 Cabrinha 9m from 2:1 to 1:1 only to find that I've lost the 9"-odd long additions to that extend the bridal's tip sections - the bits that attach to the now useless pulley. I've asked around shops to no avail. If anyone has a spare pair please call me on 0407403244. I'm in Fremantle, WA, but I'm prepared to pay for my thoughtlessness! Thanks.
Tried to contact Cabrinha themselves? They'll definitely mail you out some parts, may take a month or so though.
Must be a 2008 model there were no 2:1 or convertible kites in the Cab 2009 range. 2009 was the first of the IDS kites, they are all 1:1 ?
Whats the name of the Cab model that you have? Revolver?
Talk to Dan at Kite addiction in Myaree, Hulme court, i think they have a range of even old spares (08) 9329 9333.
I've talked to Dan - he's got none. It is a 2008, not a 2009. Thing is, I don't trust a sailmaker to make 'em even if I find a blank from which to copy. Guess it's the long haul and ask Cabrinha ....
Talk to neil at hold the line kites at wembley, if its lines related or kite related he can make it if you can show or describe what it is.

What alerstone needs is the length of the new attachment line that the back lines attach to when you change it to 1:1 ratio (witch has been miss placed somewhere)
I do not have a 2008 Convert 9m to work with to make up a new line.
So if any one has a 2008 Cabrinha Convert 9m with this 1:1 ratio new line attachment for the back line please tell us the length from attachment to the pulley to the last knot.
Or if nothing shows up alerstone then we can just meet up on the beach to tune it.

Why does it work better at 2:1? I went to change it because I was always having to hold botton tip of the leading edge from dipping towards the water by keeping some bar pressure on the top of the kite (i.e puling it back). This was strenuous and the guys with which i sail said there's much less bar pressure at 1:1, maning I could kite with ease for longer. I'm going to see Neil ASAP to get the bit, so thanks for the tip. At least I'll have the option of either setting then.
Changed my rev to 1:1 and it was sooooooo much better on the arms way less pressure . They do say it slows the steering down but i couldnt notice it the only thing it really did was didnt give ya as much depower not a real prob just dig the board in harder when you needed it . ie after a jump with too much speed on .again it was not that much to think of very small price for such a better lighter feeling .
Lines issue sorted - Neil came up trumps with some replacements in 15 minutes. Thanks to you all for advice. Now to bail early from work on Friday given today's (Aug 9) forecast!
