Sean M & I (Team Boss) trained & kited the perfect kite race spot tonight in WA in 6 to 10 knots of wind for 2 hours on 70cm race boards and 17m race kites, low chop and lots of safe beach to launch for 5 km plus. ( a few fishermen about looking to catch a BIG fish, OK 10 to 15 fishermen ) Spot will handle any wind to 25knots plus. Perfect race course over 5km plus. Great Summer / Winter kite race location, minimal weed in winter, no weed tonight at all, protected semi -ocean layout, will pick up ANY sea breeze on offer, no crowds on beach & cafe 50m away, safe parking. Should be good from S/ SW through to W & NW. Keep posted for 2012/2013 WAKSA kite race series & we should be able to run a great series at this location 99% of time ( apart from E winds and then go to kite beach attadale/ Peli point?) . WAKSA may even be able to put in full time kite racing course bouys at loaction. Planning to run races from 6-8 -10 knots to 20ish.

WAKSA 2012/2013 Will run pro kite raceboard, raceboard, freeride, twin tip & surfboard slalom race's each race day for crew to get a taste of racing & no need to jump onto a challenging raceboard at 1st. Airrush may have a few super fun & easy demo sector freeride/race boards & maybe a full blown 70cm race board ( if you like pain & suffering) to try - if you get bug and want to get a bit more serious. Any input or thoughts on other race spots welcome.

Recon your perfect spot was the wrong spot, I had 2 hrs on a 12M on a 134, all to myself apart from one fisherman. Its so much sweeter when its not forecast, and I haven't been out for 7 weeks.

I got an hour and a half on an over-powered 12m on a 132cm, I only came in because the sun was long gone, if the moon was up a few of us would still be out there. It was so much sweeter than flogging myself in Monday's gusty washing machine.
