Haha his name is actually Reo? Is his dad Cutback Stevens and his brother Floater Stevens?
Awesome video, he makes tearing waves apart unhooked look so easy.
I like the way it was edited, it was pretty cool. And I liked some of those unstrapped turns they were nice.
What I didn't like was the totally fugly strapped in stuff... Man that was seriously hideous, the airs were the worst part. Also the use of the wildcat song for the credits... I mean come on, how many times does a song have to get run before people think "hey maybe i should find something original"?
Ry cracker, what's your problem? everyone's eyes are bleeding.
Please make it happen!
It wont always be that easy.
Reo will be happy he is getting some love here - when I saw it on Kiteforum no one seemd interested in commenting
So good to see him finally get into some unstrapped
Good work
Hmmm, didnt think the vid was too inspiring. He has some power, but not the style of Ian A.
Think your (Ryland) small teaser looked much better. Looking forward to its release.
Too many tail sliding reo"s Reo? dont get me wrong i reckon they look good but way too many need something else pulled out of your bag o tricks to entertain us. the opening shot looking down the line is cool then it just kinda fell apart. not your fault maybe tell the editor to spice it up next time.
great vid! perhaps a before and after demonstration of his style getting smoothed out by strap removal!
I like
But
I don't know about swapping the bar to the back hand.
I thought it would look more natural but it doesn't
Any way its good to see someone in waves after riding flat water today![]()
Just sent Ry off to the airport this morning and he sent me this link before he went. We just had an epic few days on a trip together and it was cool to meet and hang with the guy after seeing videos of him ripping through the last few years.
Have to admit, I'm not much of a forum guy, so I haven't even heard of seabreeze before. Chalk it up to the seppo in me for being so ill informed on the goings on in the world.
Anyways, glad a few of you guys enjoyed the video. And for the critics, it was filmed in two days and considered it a dry run for things to come. It was my first stab at an edit. Some better angles, clearer footage and of course some better waves to come! Stoked on the feedback and hope to give you guys some more entertainment soon!
Aloha,
Reo
