I notice there are two new wind graphs for WA metro: "Fish Rocks" and "RPYC Annex". Does anyone know where these are located?

I think Royal Perth annex is in the heart of Freo near Cicarellos fish shop

Bronze wing is correct the RPYC Annex is near Cicarellos. it is not RPYC but the "ANNEX" which is a separate set of moorings for RPYC members down at freo

Well I hope they go away with the sailors and restrictions when its all over because I don't kite at cicerellos. Take over our spots and now they take over our graphs. What next??? All those sailors In town....

The new graphs are specifically for the World Sailing champs, and likely to be removed when they are finished...

That's a shame, as I was hoping that one of the side benefits of having the World's here is that they had set up some new monitoring which we would get to keep. Is the RPYC Annex a temporary structure? If the building is still there and the equipment on top of it... why wouldn't the graph remain? For those who regularly kite at Leighton, this graph is pretty useful.

Glad you all enjoy - the more wind readings the better.

And the good news is that they're online for the long term.

"Perth 2011 is keen to leave a legacy for the community and its good to know people are using them [the wind graphs] already."

Enjoy .. Loz

TH do you really want the world to know how good the breeze on the NP side is???

Maybe a private wind meter is what you're after. So long as you share the readings with a select few.

true true but there will always be a few local secrets mind you I reckon I could pay for my own in the fuel I have spent heading over to check the wind. Thank god I don't waist my fuel going over to just check the surf anymore
