Hi

Does anyone have any thoughts on about kiteboarding in Thailand (Phuket) from June to Nov ?
It seems Phuket gets light winds from June to Nov, (June, July, August & September Between 12 & 18 knots).

I am fairly new to the sport but picked it up quickly, I am 6ft an weight 80kg.
Can anyone suggest a kite and kite size that would be good for Thailand winds ?

Thanks

if it doesnt really get above 18 knots and everages at about 15 then maybe a 16m wld be a good idea. if ur not guna use the 16m anywhere but thailand then maybe just make do with a 12 or 13m. in 15 knots ud be havin a ball on a 16 so maybe consider it

Newbie5,

Yeah the wind is generally light in South East Asia, and big kites are the norm (14-17 M - When it hits 15 knots we’re all celebrating)

Sent you a PM on the spots.
