How much difference is there in the new North Vegas compared to last year's model?
I am riding 2012 Vegas, they are still in great condition but I have been offered a really good trade in/buy new deal, I kind of don't really need new kites but if there is a noticeable improvement then it might be worthwhile.
Any feedback appreciated
I heard the have completly redesigned it in terms of strut positions and bigger wing tips. my mates say they best one they have made!
2013 North Vegas is a completely new designed kite based on the Neo.
More c-shape, wider tips and changed strut positioning (moved more towards tips).
I find its a lot more stable this year, more pop and rock solid with nothing in the kite flapping. The Vegas is tight as a..
I recommend the 22m lines for unhooking and looping.
My fav size is 7m on 22m lines.

Well this is in the gear review as it should be but hey when in Rome.
Posted this a while back....seems to fit what has come about above.
I haven't ridden the new 2013 (owned and flew the 2012) but from all I've read, it seems the Vegas has changed for the better more than any other kite in their range. Better low end, more stability and has had some IDE from the Neo put into it so is a better freeride kite, more smooth and less jerky. I rated the Vegas in the surf. Only thing is bar pressure is meant to be the same of a little higher and I found it a little high. Not in the pull, but trying to turn the kite.
Sorry that's all I have but others who are riding them will probably comment on specifics. Have you checked the kiteforum or googled reviews their are quite a few around. Great kite.
I've ridden both and own 2010, 2011, and 2012 Vegas' and for me there isn't enough difference between the 2012 and 13 to justify changing over a whole quiver for new kites. It's a good kite no doubt though. Demo it and find out for yourself.
Btw, my 2010 and 2011 bars are still going strong. My 2012 bar looks like **** and I've had to replace the depower line. The 2013 bars I've seen aren't fairing much better. It's a lot of money for something that doesn't last a season.
... friend of mine got the 2012 14m and hated it, spent a year fighting it and in the end hated it so much he sold it to my son for $50, called it 'the pox'. He then tried the 2013 and sooooo loves them, he went and bought a 12m, 10m and a 9m for his missus. It is very different from last years and he reckons they got it right.
Try it and see for yourself!

^^same my grip is dieing and I've shattered the plastic insert in the center and my depower line is close to breaking. Other than that and the deflate valve on the wing tip I'm very happy
