Not paying attention - black eye

Someone not paying attention at Woodies beach 2 yesterday, did a trick right upwind of me and lost control of their kite, the lines caught on my eye, see result below . I guess I should be happy the lines didnt touch my neck.. *sigh*

If it makes you feel any better it'll be mostly healed and gone within a week or so. I copped a bridle to the face in a similar situation and it healed quickly enough.

In the mean time you can make some great jokes about being in Fight Club.

least you got some ammo for getting your boyfriend to do things. Now if he doesn't do what you want you just tell people he hits you.

Your comment that the kiter can tell people her boyfriend hits her if he doesn't do what she wants is remarkably insensitive and belittles those who have suffered from domestic violence. Your comments cannot in good conscience be regarded as funny. DV is not something to make jokes about and is not welcome on this forum.

Suggesting again, that your comment is 'pretty perfect' indicates a level of ignorance and immaturity. Men hitting women is pathetic and sad behaviour - there is no joke to be made about it, and for once I happen to agree with Waveslave - it was retarded.

Yup silly season has arrived at the Point. Plenty of stupid behavior going down right now and lots of new arrivals.

I have been policing it as much as I can by informing people on the basics such as looking before you tack and looking downwind! People get so absorbed in their own riding and session that they fail to play well with others.

I even has to chase a Windsurfer the other day as he snaked inside of me essentially attempting to overtake me just as I was about to unhook. He had nothing to say when I confronted him.

Its essential as the water gets busy to look out for other water users and show some courtesy and respect. Accidents dont happen - people happen.

Some pretty "loaded" comments in here .. some getting reported, please play nice.

Dezzi, you'll probably get heaps of advice, but I've found Lucas's Paw Paw cream is great for healing wounds and minimising scarring. It keeps it wet, so it doesn't scab up. And, because it's oily, it repels water meaning you can still get out in the ocean without seawater getting anywhere near the wound.

OK - so i just got abused via PM from ( I suspect the BF) another SB punter. Not going to copy it in or expose the fella with knickers twisted (that's why they call it PM) tho. However, me thinks my pizz poor attempts at witicisms may have been interpreted differantly to intended?

However, i do think ythis was a very serious incident and (looking at the pics again) Dezzi was VERY lucky not to have at least sliced her cornea etc. If the results were along those lines I wouldn't have taken the pizz.
