I have been an Ozone rider since 06' when they came out with the Instinct. I have them moved on with their kites each year Untill 09 when I felt the kites were getting progressivly underpowered and felt like flying my grannies knickers.
So this year I have been looking at the north Rebel and replacing my quiver. Well that was untill I had a go on a friends C4. I rode his 11m and loved it fast turning and genrally awesome. However I still felt a bit underpowered.I would have been out on my 2009 13m Sport. My friend is probably 10kgs lighter than me.
How slow does the kite turn going up to a 13m C4? will I lose what I loved about the 11m going that big?

What size should I get for gold coast conditions?

I can't speak for the 13m but I can tell you the 12m is quick. A real nice kite!

I'm 110kg riding the C4 13m a fair bit lately....it doesn't go as big as some others but has great hang time...ive also been on the 12 and as far as I'm concerned they both turn as fast as each other.....but I have to tell you this...try the 10....there is something special about this kite...don't know why but it halls my big ass around from 20kn ....but is an awesome kite at 30 plus....
However for an answer to your question...I would prefer a 13 on the Goldie....

the 13m is very quick to turn as far as 13s go - its faster than the sport to turn for sure. ther doesnt seem to be a big difference to the 12m but i guess there would be in some winds - i havent felt it.
I have a 12 and 13 demo up here at Caloundra if you want to make the drive. looks like good winds for a few days.
