What kite would you pick - 80kg riding primarily a surfboard.
Picked up a 10m Reo a few months back and want to get 2 more kites.
Planning to get the 8m Reo but not sure about the 3rd kite.
12m Reo or 13m C4.
How do they compare power-wise? Turning Speed?
On paper the C4 should be slightly more powerful but does anyone have any first hand experience?
Definitely want to see what the 2013 Ozone line-up has to offer. September? Seems to be taking a long time for the rest of the kites beyond the Edge.
Thanks
Tony
well if you are sb dedicated then reo. if you also like a bit of boosting action then c4. c4 still works real well in the waves, just not as drifty as the reo.
The 2013 Reo is available for dealers to order now. This is a pre-order, for dealers stock will not arrive until late August or early September public release date is 1st Sept.
The C4 13 would not be a bad choice for you if you mainly ride waves and want a bit more bottom end. The other size you should get for your quiver is an 8M Reo.
Thanks guys.
Understand the Reo would be the obvious choice for waves but seems the 12m would be really close to the 10m and if the 13m C4 had a bit more low end, may be a slightly better choice as my big kite? Maybe splitting hairs?
Sept 1st is very close. That'll help to make the decision to try and snag a deal on a 2012 or go for the latest.

The catalyst is also an option, similar reo handling, but with a lot more jumping quality, a better kite for jumping the whitewash on your way back out
Can anyone compare the turning speed of the 13m C4 and the 12m Reo?
Also how does the low end compare? Is it a knot better? 2 knots?
The Ozone wind range chart is pretty vague.
Again, very interested to hear differences between the 2012 and 2013 kites for the Reo, C4 and Catalyst. I hear mixed reviews on the bigger Catalysts but maybe 2013 will change that??
I have a 13m C4 (2011) which I think is fantastice for a larger kite, it turns very quickly for its size and has decent boost as well as good pop which is generally more what I (attempt) to do with it.
Never tried the Reo but have a Catalyst as my 8m - it's a decent kite but doesnt feel as exciting as either of the c4's (10 & 13)
I have the edge 11 a 9,and been using
Reo 8 as a freeride and high wind kite.
Man the reo is a machine and just great fun
To ride,love it.tempted with a 10,ha!
