We have had a late surge of inquiries from people who want to compete in the PKRA Australia at the Gold Coast.

We can confirm that there will be Open Registration for both the freestyle and wave events.

To compete all you need to do is to Register at the event registration on Saturday 4 December 2010 in the lobby of the Gold Coast International Hotel between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. If you feel that you are of a standard to compete then come to the registration and introduce yourself to the staff.

The cost of registration is $100. This will entitle you to compete and therefore potentially win a share of the prize purse. Freestyle $30,000. Wave $10,000. Red Bull Kite Cross $5,000. Show Disciplines up to $7,000 (depending on conditions). You will also receive the Competitors Pack which includes t-shirt, lycra, meal vouchers, entry to functions during the week (not including Gala dinner).

Wild Card entries automatically qualify for the final competition. Those who do not have Wild Cards will need to qualify by competing in the Qualifying Rounds.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony will also be for sale at the Registration. Cost $60.

I don't think I have what it takes, but I'm curious, how much lycra do you get in the competitors pack?

Ah well, back to the drawing board. Reminds me of my first trip to New York, I asked a guy if he could tell me how to get to Broadway, and he said, "practise, practise, practise."

Is it $100 per discipline, or $100 to register for all disciplines?
