Good day,

Is anyone going to the Carnivale in Port Douglas? Has anyone been before? I'm thinking about going next weekend.

Is there anything in particular that I need to know? For instance does it create a lot of crowds on the water? What size kite to bring? Hows the nightlife around carnivale? and what would be the best place to stay to meet some more kiters?

Any info would be appreciated. From what I gather online it seems like a good festival!

By the look of the forecast graph, you may as well leave your kite gear at home!

Was pretty poor conditions today. Three fronts came through and people were getting about twenty gusty minutes out there each front. There were about 15 kites up. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better.

Also it was a damn nice day. In the arvo it all clicked for me. Finally holding my ground and not stacking. Great afternoon.
