Main spots are Ocean, Lighthouse Beach, North Beach. Town Beach if you are Intermediate or better rider, and only on a run out tide, is straight onshore in a NE and there are Clubbie flags on the beach. That plus the rocks and the run out tide makes it a little challenging for the beginner, but a great playground if you can get away from the Beach.
Middle Rock at Lake Cathie, south of Port is the best wave spot around and is good in a N to NE.
North of Port, Pt Plomer is good with a nice wave spot at the top of the bay.
Are a couple of flat water spots in the river but need local knowledge and usually a boat or board to get to.
Forcast for Saturday is looking good.
Good luck

What bout a little further South of Port? I'm going up there soon, and there seems to be a series of nice long beaches and a couple of lakes between Lauriteton and Port Macquaire.

Other than Middle Rock at Lake Cathie, which you already mentioned, are any of those any good?
