Has any instructor ever given someone a free lesson ?
Maybe the instructor felt sorry for someone .... ?
Or maybe he was worried and concerned for the newbie's life,
so he offered some free lessons before a tragedy happened ?
Tell me a story.
Iv seen Trevor from www.moretonbaykiting.com.au/ step in and give some free lessons a few times when a person was obviously out of there depth. He is always quick to step in and help out. Its a watchful eye on all newcomers to our beach, it also sets a good example for the rest of us to step in as well. I had lessons from him and one others "brisbane based not so great kite school" and i would not hesitate to endorse hiss lessons. Even if he finds my back roll attempts hilarious!!
not qualified but always willing to help, if you know the ropes well, cant see the problem in qualified or not, it gives me good vibes watching the grin on someones face when they have a kite in their hands, even bigger stoke when they get up on the board,love it

Once upon a time ........there was a kiter called 'puppet' ...who... like Im sure lots of other kite stoked instructors .... regularly call aside newbs who appear to be struggling to give them a few tips as to where they are with wherever they're at.
No free lessons (I dont have that much free time on the beach) but a helping hand up to the next - post lesson - rung or just a warning that they shouldnt be doing whatever it is that stands them out as a newb is what makes the difference between kiters & kiters who are also passionate about teaching.
Regrettably a self confessed kook but also a strong believer in the old saying "you dont have to BE an expert to be able to teach like one"
