Hey guys riding 09 RPM 12m and every time i go down wind and unhook the kite just goes straight up to 11, 12 oclock

Any suggestions i have the kite on the freestyle settings. Would the bar response settings effect this?

It's technique. Not the kite.

I found the RPM very easy to unhook on, you may be ridding a bit to far down wind for to long to unhook. With the RPM just get of your edge and unhook try to keep some tension in your lines. Spend some time flying it on the beach unhooked to get a feel for the bar presure. As said above, check your line lengths, make sure you have it trimed right before unhooking and just stick with it. All kites feel a little deferent when unhooking so it is just a matter of getting used to it.

Most likely it's your lines, they only need to be out by a few cm to really screw you up.
