Rescue off coogee

Mate just rang me and said he saw on 9 news a rescue operation involving two females and the sea rescue chopper. Anyone got any more info???

Two sisters, experienced kitesurfers got lulled when out the back at offshore side, Woodies..... Got picked up at midnight....? Didnt ditch their gear???

thats hard out. You would think they would self rescue and swim back. Scary in the water at night. Least they are ok.

Very smart move by those sister for hanging on to their gear because I doubt a chopper would have seen them otherwise

Glad they're safe but if a rescue chopper is needed at midnight then experienced they might not be.

Unless they were injured ,self rescue should have been completed. Will wait for the whole story before gobbing off though.

Yeah i know what you mean. You would think other kiters could of raised the alarm before the sun set. It went off shore at bout 7 oclock but would still of been strong enough to kite upwind back to the point. Weird.
