Surely you realise that you don't know what you're talking about.
Or how to spell insults.
Shoulda grew some balls and faced him man to man.
Hiding behind anonymous username and sledging on seabreeze is a cowards poor form.
Boo Hiss shame shame!!
Cut it with all the red thumbs.
Oceanfire has indeed PM'ed me.
Kiss & make up session is on the cards
- all good.
In any story theres not just 2 sides but also 2 ways of looking at 2 sides etc etc.
I am still pretty green as retailer and Yes I was certainly slack in the follow up emails to O/Fire - my bad on that score - but not so on the background follow up. That was all happening.
BUT as described; I reckon our service on the original deal was one to be esp. proud of.
AND PLEASE. If anyone is ever unhappy with anything we do at Kite Surf SUP PLEASE ring or call to discuss it with me - personally. It will never be intentional and we are the only ones who can sort it out.
Whinging to others solves nothing - just makes it worse for everyone.
Just to clarify : Douche is spelt with an "e" at the end
douche
Literal - A liquid concoction used for sanitizing and cleaning the female nether regions.
Actual - (Adj) A person who is a waste of oxygen; an idiot.
A "douche bag" is the device used to administer the liquid to the V.
From preliminary investigations (google) it looks something like a small hot water bottle with a tube and nozzle.
I just learnt something as well.![]()
Re the original post..... I reckon the bloke got a good deal.... A new bar alone cost over $350-or $400 can't comment on the rest cos don't have all the facts. But a kite just a season or two old and a brand new bar for $500 is a very very good deal in anyone's language.
Unfortunately this got blown out of proportion.
I can be a bit of a hot head at times, I didn't exactly handle the situation the best way.
I don't want to go into a recount of the full situation, the relevant people know the necessary details.
Misunderstandings happen and however justified we think we are in doing so, venting on a public forum is never the way to go; we should never assume that others perceive a given situation the same way we do.
For the record, Phil did look after me with the deal I got on the kite and equipment, he was genuinely interested in helping me out and as a relatively new guy to the sport it's good to have people like Phil in the industry.
I hope I haven't soured him against helping other people the way he helped me out- I kept the certificate and have it in a frame. ![]()
And I'm loving the kite- had a lot of fun on the weekend with it! ![]()
Phil had a lot of time for me in the shop, I'm absolutely loving this kiting biz and Phil happily tolerated me chewing his ear off about it.
At the end of the day I would recommend Woodys to anyone. ![]()

^^^^ full credit to you mate... Not many blokes would have the guts to admit in the public forum they can be a bit of a hot head and didn't handle the situation the best way.
Glad to hear it seems to be sorted out.
good luck with the kiting.
^ +1 The phrase 'man up' gets tossed around a lot these days. There it is.
V And a bit of it down there too. Good job lads.![]()
Phil Has put more time and effort for the kiting community than just about anyne I know. (ex-WAKSA president). He is a top bloke and isnt in it for the money, buying a kiteshop is like buying yourself a middle class job as the margins are pretty pathetic. I used to work for him, he is one of the best bosses Ive ever had. Glad everything worked out, and props to oceanfire for acting like a real man.![]()
. Mabe the last 3 days of seabreeze has stopped everyone Jonesing out.
It's all good, thanks guys for the kind words.
I need to stick more often to my policy of not saying anything and letting people think I'm stupid rather than opening my mouth and giving them proof ![]()
And the only wet spot was the one on my car seat, from the salt water off my boardies after a great afternoon kiting the other day with that sweet little 7m I got off Phil ![]()
